Over the past few weeks we have been spending some time enhancing and adding some new features to Virtual-London. We now have a selection of postcards (e-cards) which you can send from the site. There are views of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square and a very odd character standing in Covent Garden Piazza.

I'm running a caption competition for the latter card, which was taken during London's Fashion Week, a selection of the captions that I've received so far is:

"I don't think you'll find Wal-Mart stocking that outfit honey" and

"Look there's a real Mad Cow" or

"Excuse me, but I'm rather lost and I was wondering if you knew the way to the dairy".

I'll announce the winner in the May Lantern, the prize will be a voucher for dinner for two at my restaurant, Porters in Covent Garden. So just e-mail me with your caption entry.

We've also put a new survey up, with questions that will help us to develop Virtual-London to provide the services that you require when travelling to London.

Finally we've negotiated with those very nice people at London Zoo a 1.00 discount voucher, which you can print off from Virtual-London and save on adult entry until May 2002.

It's definitely worth a visit to see the Penguins at feeding time, somehow it reminds me of Sunday lunch at home!
